1 - Introduction

The best way to ensure that transferring takes place in InphoniteVoice is to use our Conference Transfer feature. With this feature, you reserve one of your lines/channels specifically for the transfer. When the transfer takes place, a second line is opened and connected to the target phone number. Then the two lines are merged.

One of the greatest benefits of this configuration is that transferring is available even when the line does not have call forwarding service available.

2 - More Information

To configure InphoniteVoice for conference transferring, you would do the following:

  1. Launch the admin tool and goto the Interface Service node.
  2. In the Pika General section, change the Transfer Method to 'Conference'.
  3. Then, at the top, in the General section, click the ... button in the Channels field and highlight a channel on the left. Set the Call Direction field to 'TransferOrConference', and click OK.
