Edit1 - Introduction
In an effort to better serve our customers, Inphonite utilizes Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 to remotely connect to client computers. This allows us to resolve issues we could not effectively troubleshoot otherwise, as well as perform training sessions and installations for our customers.
This article is intended to help you install Live Meeting 2007, and test your connection to ensure that the installation was successful and that your system can run Live Meeting.
Edit2 - More Information
To test your computer's compatibility with Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007, please click the following link:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=90703This will take you to a page in your browser that will allow you to download and install Microsoft Office Live Meeting if it has not already been installed. If Live Meeting is already installed, you will simply be connected to a test meeting. Otherwise, on this page, click
Accept, Install, and Join.
You should then be prompted to
Run or
Open a file. Please click
Run. (Note: You may be prompted to
Run more than once.)
At this point, the Microsoft Office Live Meeting installation wizard will open and complete the installation. No intervention on your part is necessary. After the installer completes, you will be returned to your browser and there will be a short delay.
After a few moments, a second file which is needed to connect you to the meeting will be downloaded. Depending upon your browser security settings, this download may be blocked. If you are using Internet Explorer, a yellow bar will appear across the top of the browser window, indicating that the download was blocked and asking you to "Click here for options." Click the yellow bar, and select
Download File. If the download is not blocked, click
Open when prompted.
A Live Meeting window should now open showing a
Continue button. Click the button, and you will be connected to a test meeting. If the connection to the meeting is successful, a page will display indicating that "You have successfully connected to Live Meeting."
If the connection is not successful, it is likely that Microsoft Office Live Meeting cannot run on that computer. It is recommended that you try this test from another computer. To see the system requirements for Live Meeting, please click
